Neanderthal man
Neanderthal man, with a brain size of about 1500cc, lived near East and Central Asia and parts of Africa 40,000 to 100,000 years ago. They had a short stature along with heavy eyebrows, retreating foreheads, large jaws and heavy teeth with a less prominent chin. Their body proportions were different from those of modern humans in that Neanderthal man had relatively long arms, while modern humans have longer legs than arms. Basically, the ratio of the length of legs to that of arms was lesser than that of modern man's. Neanderthals were the legendary cave dwellers.
