The fabrics used for making umbrella contains millions of tiny holes so why cannot rain passes through it?

To pass the water through the cloth of umbrella, the molecules of water molecules should be lessthan that of the tiny holes
but the size tiny holes present in the fabrics will be less than that of water molecules so that it willnot pass through the fabric.
