Solution

The correct option is A

(x + 1), (4x2 – 3x + 8)

The constant term in the given polynomial is 8.

One the zeros of the polynomial can be found by finding the values of given polynomial at the factors of 2
i.e., when x = 1,2,-1 or -2.

P(1)=4×(1)3+(1)2+5×(1)+8=4+15+8=0

P(-1) = 0, which means that (x+1) is a factor of the polynomial P(x).

The quotient obtained when P(x) is divided by (x+1) is the other factor.

The other factor is 4x23x+8
