The correct option is A All the CH bond distance and HCH bond angles are equal in CH4
According to VBT, three bonds in CH4 will be formed from sp overlapping and one CH bond will be formed from ss overlapping. So, three CH bonds should be the same and it should differ from the fourth. But in reality, in CH4, all the bonds and angles are the same. Hence, VBT failed to explain the structure of methane.
