Solution

The correct option is C Ootheca
Post fertilization in cockroaches, the fertilized eggs are encased in capsules called egg case or ootheca. They are dark reddish to blackish brown in colour. The female cockroaches drop ootheca at places of high humidity and food source. Female lays around 9-10 ootheca and each ootheca has 14-16 fertilised eggs.
Spermatheca stores sperms received during copulation. They are found in the 6th abdominal segment of a female cockroach.
A pair of large ovaries are present in the 2nd-6th abdominal segments. Each ovary has 8 ovarioles or ovarian tubules with developing ova.
Each compound eye which is present at the dorsal side of the head has 2000 functional units called ommatidia.
