  • 2 is aorta.
  • 3 is the pulmonary artery.
  • 4 is a pulmonary vein.
Functions :
Aorta
  • Aorta is the largest artery which originates from the left ventricle.
  • It collects oxygenated blood from the left ventricle and distributes it throughout the body by its branches i.e. arteries.
Pulmonary artery
  • Pulmonary artery arises from the right ventricle.
  • It carries deoxygenated blood from the right ventricle to the lungs.
Pulmonary vein
  • Pulmonary veins arise from the lungs.
  • It carries the oxygenated blood from lungs to the left atrium of the heart.
