Solution

The correct option is D (III) Infundibulum, (IV) Fimbriae, (V) Cervix
The picture shows female reproductive system that consists of ovaries, uterine tubes, uterus, vagina and external genitalia. Fallopian tube/oviduct/uterine tube is the muscular structure which connects the uterus with ovary. Each fallopian tube consists of four parts uterine, isthmus, ampulla and infundibulum (III). The funnel shaped lateral end of uterine tube is infundibulum (III) having finger like processes known as fimbriae (IV) and serve to collect ovum after ovulation. Uterus is thick walled inverted pear shaped muscular organ that has three sections. The region of uterus superior to entry of uterine tube is fundus, body is the major region that becomes narrow at its junction with cervix. The narrow end of uterus that project into vagina (VI) is cervix (V). Cervix cavity is called as cervical canal. Uterine wall is composed of three layers of tissues which are namely perimetrium, myometrium and endometrium. Perimetrium is outer most thin covering followed by middle thick layer of smooth muscles called as myometrium (II) that exhibit strong contractions during parturition. Endometrium (I) is the inner most lining of uterus that serves in placenta formation to facilitate nutrient supply to developing embryo and foetus. In non pregnant woman, endometrium differs in thickening during different phase of menstrual cycle. Option A is incorrect as II is myometrium. Option C is incorrect as V is cervix and VI is vagina. Option D is incorrect as I is endometrium.
Therefore, the correct answer is option B.
