(a) A is a chromatid and B is a centromere.
(b) C is the spindle fibre to which the chromosomes attach. The spindles pull the chromatids apart.
(c) The division shown here is mitosis. The Chromosomes line up on the spindle singly. If it was meiosis, then the chromosomes would be in homologous pairs.
(d) Metaphase is displayed in the image.
(e) Four is the diploid number for the organism from which the cell is taken
