The correct option is D 0.03 cm
At the 5th reading of vernier's scale, both readings of the scales coincide.
At the 4th reading of vernier's scale, the length between the two scales is min. and will be the least count=0.01cm
So difference at 3rd reading of vernier scale is 2×0.01cm
difference at 2nd reading of vernier scale will be 3×0.01cm=0.03cm
