The angle of incidence i=60

The ratio of refractive indices μ1μ2=k

From the given figure, using Snell’s law

μ2sini=μ1sinr

μ1μ2sin60=1sinrsinr=32k ……. (1)

Substitute the value of k=1 in equation (1)

sinr=32r=sin1(32)

Hence, the angle of refraction isr=π3,2π3

Now substituting the value of r=2π3 in the given equation θ2=|ri|

θ2=|ri|=2π3π3=π3

Hence the angle θ2=π3 and k2=1

Therefore, the option (B) and (D) is the correct answer.
