Small intestine is a long coiled tube like structure. The food reaches the small intestine after the digestion ends in the stomach. Pancreas and liver release pancreatic juice and bile juice in the small intestine respectively. These juices complete the process of digestion. The surface of the small intestine has many finger like projections called villi. The villi provides increased surface area for absorption of digested particles.
