The correct option is C $5$
Given $3 y - 1, 3 y + 5$ & $5 y + 1$ are in A.P
So :- difference between then
$3 y + 5 - (3 y - 1) = 5 y + 1 - (3 y + 5)$
$3 y + 5 - 3 y + 1 = 5 y + 1 - 3 y - 5$
$6 = 2 y - 4$
$2 y = 10$
$y = 5$
