Solution

Step 1: Find the area of the rectangular hall

Areaoftherectangle=length×breadth

length =12m ; breadth =7.5m

Area of the rectangle =12×7.5=90sq.m

convert sq. meter into sq.cm(1sq.m=10000sq.cm)

90sq.m=900000sq.cm

Step 2: Find the area of one square tile

Areaofthesquare=side×side

Side =15cm

Area of the square =15×15=225sq.cm

Step 3: Find how many tiles required

required tiles = Areaoftherectangle/Areaofthesquare

=900000/225=4000tiles

Step 4 : Find the cost of the tiles

The cost of one tile is =250

cost of 4000 tiles =4000×250=1000000

Hence we need 1000000 to pave the rectangular floor
