  3. The vitreous humour is a gel-like substance.
  4. It is a transparent clear solution that occupies the space behind the lens and in front of the retina at the back of the eye.
  5. The vitreous humour thins upon aging.
  6. Due to this the vitreous humour can get detached from the retina and get separated causing a condition known as posterior vitreous detachment.
