Given: $GUNS$ is a parallelogram
Hence, its opposite sides are equal.

i.e. $GS=UN$ and $GU=SN$

$\Rightarrow 3x=18$, i.e., $x=6$

and $3y-1=26$

$\Rightarrow 3y=26+1=27$

$\Rightarrow y=9$

Hence, $x=6$ and $y=9$
