Sentence S1 talks about the Hindu- Muslim riots that occurred after the declaration of independence. Sentence Q talks about 'this madness' which hurt Gandhiji and so follows S1. Sentence R follows Q which talks about the initiative taken by Gandhiji. Sentence P re-emphasises the attempts made by Gandhiji to ensure communal peace and so should follow sentence R. Logically, sentence R should be followed by S5. Thus, the correct order of sentences is QRP and the right option is B).
