The following graph shows the percentage change in the revenue of a company, during a period of 15 years, i.e., from the year 2005 to the year 2019.
If the revenue of the company does not exceed Rs. 250 million for any year during the entire period, then what can be the maximum revenue of the company in the year 2013?
Let the revenue of the company in the year 2004 be Rs. 100x.
So, revenue of the company in year 2005 will be = 100x + 100x × 25% = 125x
Similarly, we can find the revenue of the company for all the remaining years.
From the above table, it is clear that the company has maximum revenue in the year 2010 and 2012, i.e., 250x.
Therefore, 250x = 250 million
⇒ x = 1 million
Thus, the revenue of the company in year 2013 can be at most = Rs. 100 million
Hence, option A is correct.
