The following graph shows the percentage change in the revenue of a company, during a period of 15 years, i.e., from the year 2005 to the year 2019.


From the year 2007 onwards, the company donated 10% of its revenue to charity whenever its revenue exceeded 125% of its revenue in the year 2007. Find the total amount donated to the charity, if revenue of the company in 2011 was Rs. 100 million.

The correct option is D Rs. 51.3 million

Let the revenue of the company in the year 2004 be Rs. 100x.

So, revenue of the company in the year 2005 will be = 100x + 100x × 25% = 125x

Similarly, we can find the revenue of the company for all the remaining years.

From the table, revenue of the company in the year 2007 = 100x

So, in the years when the revenue of the company is greater than 125x, the company will donate 10% to the charity.

Total amount donated to charity = 20x + 25x + 20x + 25x + 12.6x = 102.6x

Given, the revenue of the company in 2011 was 100 million, thus, x = 12 million

Required answer = 102.6x = 51.3 million

Hence, option D is correct.
