Solution

The correct option is C Change in state, condensation
Cooked rice contains some water in it. As cooked rice is very hot, water inside it converts into water vapour and comes out of it. When the vessel containing hot cooked rice is closed with a lid, the water vapour escaping out from the rice comes in contact with the lid which is relatively cooler. Due to this, water changes its state from gas to liquid and form droplets all around the lid. This process of conversion of water is called condensation and it involves change in state.
