The following is the distance-time graph of Amit's walking.

Study the above graph carefully and answer the questions given below:
(i) When does Amit make the least progress? Explain your answer.
(ii) Find his average speed in km/hr.

(i) Amit make least progress from $25$ min to $40$ min, as indicated by the line in the graph. (Distance travelled in this time period is $1.50-1.25=0.25$ km)

(ii) Total distance covered $=2$ km
Total time $=55$ min $=\frac{55}{60}$ hr

Average speed $=\frac{\text{Total distance covered}}{\text{Total time}}$

$=\frac{2}{\frac{55}{60}}=\frac{2\times 60}{55}=2.18$ km/hr
