Total expenditure per month = Rs 16,000

(i) Expenditure on rent =

Rs 16,000 $\times \frac{{81}^{\circ }}{{360}^{\circ }}$ = Rs 3,600

(ii) Expenditure on edducation

= Rs 16,000 $\times \frac{{36}^{\circ }}{{360}^{\circ }}$ =Rs 1,600

(iii) Expenditure on food

= Rs16,000 $\times \frac{{135}^{\circ }}{{360}^{\circ }}$ = Rs 6,000

$\therefore$ Ratio of expenses on food and rent

= 6000 : 3600 = 5 : 3
