Solution

The correct option is A RSPQ
The first statement in the sequence should be the one that best connects with S1. It must be a continuation or extension of S1.
R is first in the sequence: S1 says that long ago there lived a king who was crude and very much like a savage. R continues by saying that he did not have the grace and polish of his neighbours.
R is followed by S: S adds to R. It says that the king, however, had learned some manners from his Latin neighbours, but mostly he was barbaric, loud and gruff.
S is followed by P: P adds a point to the topic after S. It says that the king was a man of great fancies and even greater enthusiasm.
P is followed by Q: Q adds to P. It says that as he had so much authority as king, he was able to force some fantasies into reality. S6 directly continues Q's point by saying that at least he tried to.
Thus, the correct sequence is R S P Q. Hence, A is the correct option.
