Solution

The correct option is A It may be branched.
Primary structure of protein refers to the linear chain of amino acids produced by linking together of amino acids through peptide bonds. The sequence of amino acids in the primary structure is determined by the sequence of nucleotides in nucleic acid acting as genetic material. The primary chain of amino acids folds into secondary structures like α-helix and β-sheets. Tertiary structure is formed by folding of the secondary structures on to themselves, so that it is an interaction between secondary structures.
