The following table gives the minimum and maximum temperature of cities on a particular day. Plot the graph and answer the questions.
City | Delhi | Bangalore | Srinagar | Mumbai | Chennai |
Maximum Temperature | 23 | 20 | 10 | 30 | 32 |
Minimum Temperature | 20 | 19 | 4 | 28 | 27 |
Step Drawing bar graph from given data:
Steps of constructing bar graph:
1. Mark the horizontal axis name as cities. We will represent min temp in orange color and max temp in blue color on the vertical axis and the vertical axis as temperatures.
2. Along the horizontal axis , choose bars of uniform (equal) width, with a uniform gap between them.
3. Choose a suitable scale to determine the heights of the bars, according to the space available for the graph. Here, we choose small division to represent people.
Step Analise the bar graph >
From the bar graph we can see that-
. Srinagar has the maximum difference in the day temperature.
Bangalore has the minimum difference in the day temperature.
Hottest city is Cheenai and the coldest city is Srinagar
