Here, the maximum frequency fm is 19. The corresponding modal class for this frequency is 50-60.
Mode = L+fm - f12fm-f1-f2h
Here, L = lower limit of the modal class = 50
fm = maximum frequency = 19
f1 = frequency of pre-modal class = 6
f2 = frequency of post-modal class = 14
h = width of modal class = 10
Mode = 50 +19-6219-6-14×10= 50+1338-20×10= 50+1318×10= 50+0.72×10=57.22The modal time spent by people in a day in watching TV is 57.22 mins.
