Solution

Given: The frequency of oscillation of the electric field vector of a certain e.m. wave is 5×104Hz.
To find the frequency of oscillation of the corresponding magnetic field vector and to which part of the electromagnetic spectrum does it belong
The frequency of the electric field vector
f=5×104Hz
The frequency of the magnetic field vector is also = 5×104Hz
And we know,
c=λfλ=cfλ=3×1085×104λ=0.6×104=6×103m
Electromagnetic waves with longer wavelengths and lower frequencies include infrared light, microwaves, and radio and television waves lie in visible region.
