As given y=g(x) crosses the x-axis at x=a,which means that y=0 at x=a
So, y=g(x)=0 when x =a.
We set g(x)=0 and solving for x,
6x2+x2=0
(2x1)(3x2)=0
So, either 2x1=0 ; x=12
3x2=0 ; x=23
Since, we have only one value provided in the answer i.e 12.
Hence,choice A is correct.
