Some of the thermal radiation of the sunlight is absorbed by various gases and gets trapped in our environment. This phenomenon is called the Green house effect and the gases causing it are called greenhouse gases. Global warming is the result of this effect.
H2O, N2,CO2, CH4, C2H5 and N2O are some of the main greenhouse gases.
But Oxygen (which is the vital component for our survival) is not a contributor to the greenhouse effect. It does not retain the heat and hence it is not a greenhouse effect. So, option (C) O2 is correct
