The gas we use in the kitchen is called liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). In the cylinder, it exists as a liquid.
When it comes out from the cylinder, it becomes a gas (change- A), then it burns (change B). The following statements pertain to these changes. Choose the correct one.
Process A is a physical change but B is a chemical change.
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) exists as a liquid inside the cylinder. This liquid LPG changes into gas when it comes out, denoted by change-A. This is a reversible change as gaseous LPG can be converted into liquid LPG. So this is a physical change.
However gaseous LPG burns, denoted by change-B. This is an irreversible change since it alters the chemical composition of LPG. Hence this is a chemical change.
