The Giant saw a most wonderful sight. What did he see? What did he realise on seeing it?

The wonderful sight that he had seen was the children had crept into the garden and were playing on the trees. The trees covered themselves with blossoms, the birds were flying about with delight and the flowers were looking up through the green grass and laughing.
He realised that the reason Spring was late to arrive was that he was so selfish that he did not allow any child to enter and play in the garden. Now that the children were back, the weather became better. Thus he was very sorry for what he had done and realised that it was his fault.
