Solution

The correct option is C

3a+b-3

Tickets sold in the first week = a+b+2
Tickets sold in the second week = a-b-1
Tickets sold in the third week = a+b-4
Total number of tickets sold = (a+b+2) + (a-b-1) + (a+b-4)
= a+b+2+ a-b-1+ a+b-4
= a+a+a+b-b+b+2-1-4
= 3a+b-3
3a+b-3 tickets were sold in all.
