The given bar graph shows the number of students from different classes of a school who participated in a competition.

Study the bar graph and answer the following questions.

a) How many more students of grade IV participated in the competition as compared to grade III?

b) How many students in total, of all five classes, have participated in the competition?

a) Number of students participated from grade III = 10
Number of students participated from grade IV = 60
Difference = 60 - 10 = 50 students
So, 50 more students from grade IV have participated in the competition as compared to grade III.

b) Total number of students = sum of students from each class
= 30 + 50 + 10 + 60 + 30
= 180 students
