  • In a food chain, energy decreases at each successive trophic level. According to Lindeman's law of trophic efficiency, the efficiency of energy transfer from one trophic level to the next is about 10%.
  • The food chains P and Q have three trophic levels whereas food chains Q and R have four trophic levels.
