Solution

Given, the total marks are 1000.

Step 1: Fraction of mathematics marks out of the total marks =135360=3×458×45=38

Marks scored in mathematics = Total number of marks× Fraction of mathematics marks
=1000×38
=125×8×38
=125×3
=375

Step 2: Fraction of physics marks out of the total marks =45360=458×45=18

Marks scored in physics = Total number of marks× Fraction of physics marks
=1000×18
=125×8×18
=125

Step 3: Difference of marks scored in mathematics and physics = Marks scored in mathematics -Marks scored in physics
=375125
=250

Hence, the difference of marks scored in mathematics and physics is 250.
