From Statement I,
Let number of male officers = x
Then, number of female officers =x2250
Now, ratio cannot be exactly be exactly calculated.
So, Statement I is insufficient,
From Statement II,
Let number of male officers = y
Then, number of female officers = (17)y
Required ratio =y17y=71=7:1
So, Statement II alone is sufficient to answer the question
But Statement I alone is not sufficient.
