182.5 g


MgO24+16+2HCl2(1+35.5)MgCl2+H2O
40 g of MgO requires 73 g of HCl.

20 g of MgO will require = 7340×20

= 36.5 g of HCl

But the given acid is 20% i.e., 20 g of HCl is contained in 100 g sample.

36.5 g of HCl is contained in 10020×36.5g of HCl = 182.5 g of HCl.
