Solution

The correct option is A Daffodils, 18
Number of flowers in a small bouquet = 6
Number of flowers in a large bouquet = 9
Number of rosesNumber of daffodilsSmall bouquet11×6=6617×6=102Large bouquet18×9=16212×9=108
Total number of roses required for 11 small bouquets. 11 × 6 = 66

Total number of daffodils required for 17 small bouquets. 17 × 6 = 102

Total number of roses required for 18 large bouquets. 18 × 9 = 162

Total number of daffodils required for 12 large bouquets. 12 × 9 = 108

Total number of roses required for rose bouquets = number of roses required for small bouquets + number of roses required for large bouquets

Total number of daffodils required for daffodil bouquets = number of daffodils required for small bouquets + number of daffodils required for large bouquets = 102 + 108 = 210

228 > 210
228 - 210 = 18
Hence, the florist will require 18 more roses than daffodils to make the required number of small and large bouquets.
