We know, yield produced is directly poroportional to the time taken in days.

The table is given as:
Total yield
(in lb per sq ft)
3.2 7.2
Time (in days) 4 ?

Yield per day =yx
=3.24
=0.8

Now, yield per day = 7.2 lb/sq ft

Putting value, we get,
Yield per day = 7.2x
0.8=7.2x
x=7.20.8
x=9

So, to produce a yield of 7.2 lb per sq ft, 9 days are required.
