Force in a momentum-time graph is given by the slope of momentum graph with time axis .
We can see in the given graph that the slope is maximum in region 2 and 3 , therefore magnitude of force is maximum in region 2 and 3 , though the region 2 represents a negative force , but we are going only for the magnitude of force .
