S1 is true but S2 is false


For a pair of equations, a1x + b1y + c1= 0 and a2x +b2y +c2 = 0 , if a1a2 = b1b2c1c2 , then the lines are parallel.

For the given equations

2x+3y=5 and 6x+9y=40

26 = 39540

Hence the lines are parallel and do not intersect each other.
