Solution

The correct option is C

at most two points

Algebraically,

We know that A polynomial of degree 'n' will at most have 'n' factors hence 'n' number of zeroes. Thus it will intersect the x-axis at at most 'n' points

A quadratic polynomial which is a polynomial of degree '2' will at most have '2' factors hence '2' zeroes. Thus it will intersect the x-axis at at most '2' points

Speaking graphically,

If you plot the graph of a quadratic polynomial, you will see that it can have two zeroes (intersects the X-axis at two distinct points), or two equal zeroes (that is one zero) or no zero (does not intersect the X-axis). Thus it means that a polynomial of degree 2 or quadratic polynomial has AT MOST TWO zeroes.
