Solutions of Linear Equation in 2 Variables on a Graph
The graph of ...
Question
The graph of equation 5x-3y=10 cuts the x axis at the point:
A (0,-10/3)
B (-2,0)
C (2,0)
D (0,0)
Open in App
Solution
5x-3y=10
On the x-axis, the y coordinate will be zero.
So, put y = 0 in the above equation.
=> 5x - 3*0 = 10
5x = 10
x = 10/5
x = 2
So, the point where the graph cuts the x-axis is (2,0).
