Question

The greatest angle of a triangle is equal to the sum of other two angles. The smallest angle is 7/13 of the greatest angle. Find all angles.

Open in App
Solution

Let the largest angle be 'a' and smallest be 'c'

a+b+c = 180 [sum property of angles of a traingle]

Given, a = (b+c)

c = 7/13 a

a = b + 7a/13

a - 7a/13= b

b = 6a/13

a + 6a/13 + 7a/13 = 180

a + a = 180

2a = 180

a = 90

b = 6a/13 = 41.5

c = 7a/13= 48.5

Hence angles are 90 , 41.5 , 48.5

Hope it helps.
