Solution

Dear student,

a). The process is Photosynthesis : The leaves of plants contain a green pigment called chlorophyll. This pigment captures the sun’s energy, which is used to prepare food from carbon dioxide and water. The process of synthesis of food using sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water is known as photosynthesis.
b). Plants take carbon dioxide from the carbon dioxide realised by the living organisms.
c). Sunlight is the source of energy for green plants.
d). Autotrophs : These are the organisms that manufacture food from inorganic compounds usually carbon dioxide, water, etc.
