t12=20=ln 2λ
λ=ln 220 ...(i)

Now, the times for 13rd decayed = time when the 23rd Nuclei are remaining is t1tλ
23=e ...(ii)

Similarly, time when 23rd has decayed is t2
13=et2λ ...(iii)

from (ii) and (iii)
e(t2t1)λ=2

(t2t1)λ=ln 2 ...(iv)

from (iv) and (i)
