The height of a person is 1.65 m. Express it in cm and mm.

The S.I unit of distance is metre (m). Each metre (m) is divided into 100 equal divisions, called centimetre (cm). Each centimetre has ten equal divisions, called millimetre (mm). Thus,

1 m = 100 cm

1 cm = 10 mm

So, 1.65 m = 1.65 $\times$ 100 = 165 cm
and 1.65 m = 1.65 $\times$ 1000 = 1650 mm
