The correct option is A 4 cm
Let 'a' and 'b' be the parallel sides of the trapezium and 'h' be the height of the trapezium

Then, area of trapezium
$= \frac{1}{2} (sum of parallel sides) \times height$
$= \frac{1}{2} \times (a + b) \times h$

$\Rightarrow Area = \frac{1}{2} \times (10 + 8) \times h = 36$
$\Rightarrow \frac{1}{2} (18) \times h = 36$
$9 h = 36$
h = 4 cm
