The high degree of emission of radiations from mobile towers in residential areas is creating many diseases as published by a reporter in a leading newspaper. Removal of mobile towers from residential area is being planned by the Telecom companies which value of planning is promoted or dismissed here?
(i) High degree of emission of radiations from mobile towers that the plans prepared earlier by the telecom companies caused oversight of its impact in the residential areas. Proper research was not conducted about the harmful effects of the mobile towers. (ii) The removal of mobile towers, however, suggests that the telecom companies could not ignore the adverse effects on their consumers or mobile subscribers. The newspaper report could have got the attention of policymakers who may have ordered the companies to remove the mobile towers. High costs or losses may have incurred by the companies but they could not dismiss the adverse impact of their mobile towers.
