Gupta period was considered as Golden age of Indian Culture.It also known as Hindu Renaissance or revival of Brahmanical Hinduism.
New gods emerges like Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh and the Vishnu Purana and Shiv Puarana were compiled at this point of time. Vaishnavism became new cult. Apart from this, the major work in art, architecture, science and literature developed in the Gupta period.
