The correct option is B 1.5 mile
Let the distance covered by cab be 'x' miles.
Charges for first mile = $1.25
Charges per mile after 1 mile = $2.25


so,
1.25 + 2.25x = 26
2.25x = 26 - 1.25
2.25x = 24.75
x = 11 miles
Total distance covered by cab = 11 + 1 = 12 miles

Total distance given = 13.5 miles
Distance you need to walk = 13.5 - 12 = 1.5 miles
